SAVE THE DATE - Thursday, April 23, 2009 for Acupuncture Awareness Day in Sacramento
Acupuncture and Integrated Medical Society (AIMS) is pleased to join the American Association of Acupuncture & Oriental Medicine (AAAOM) and other professional associations at the California State Capitol in Sacramento on Thursday, April 23, 2009. We invite you to participate in a grassroots effort to reach out to legislators, their staff, state agencies and interested community leaders. We look forward to expanding our networking with a shared vision of improving health care in this state and throughout the nation. Member volunteers will offer acupuncture demonstrations for stress relief, pamphlets and other informational presentations about AOM.
You can help by sharing your thoughts and experience when you join us as a volunteer. Assemblyman Michael Eng has facilitated activities during the day and we are grateful for his help.
The day-long event begins at 10:00 am and will conclude with a reception in the Capitol Rotunda from 4:30 to 6:30 pm. The reception will include hosted, catered wine and hors d'oeuvres to celebrate our journey to this day and into the future of mainstream American healthcare.
Attendees are invited to participate in an "after party dinner" at Historic Fraternity Ballroom, 1025 9th Street, Sacramento. Ticket price is $35.00 per person. Dr. Choi Seung Hoon, Dean of the College of Oriental Medicine, Kyung Hee University, Seoul, Korea will be the guest speaker at dinner.
