AIMS Membership Information

AIMS is committed to providing the acupuncture and traditional Oriental medicine profession with the clout it needs to continue providing patients with safe and effective health care. This is our top priority. With your membership in AIMS, our strength grows.

AIMS is engaged in the following vital work on behalf of the profession:

• Direct lobbying and legislative services. At the time of its founding in 2004, AIMS had the only registered lobbyist in Sacramento working on behalf of the profession. AIMS maintains that lobbying presence today. Our political team has decades of political experience working for the profession as well as a variety of other causes.
• Development of Internet-based grassroots advocacy. AIMS has built a state-of-the-art online advocacy system that alerts you and other AIMS members whenever our voice needs to be heard. Through email alerts and our website, we provide you with simple and effective ways to ensure that legislators and regulators hear our voice.
• Political Action Committee (PAC). AIMS' Political Action Committee supports candidates for California public office who have demonstrated their commitment to the profession.
• News updates for our members. AIMS provide members with up-to-date news and information relevant to the acupuncture and traditional Oriental medicine profession.
• Opportunities to network. AIMS hosts monthly meet-ups and quarterly Town Hall Meetings in most major metropolitan areas in California. These monthly meetings are a regular opportunity for members to network and socialize with other area practitioners.
• Future member benefits. As AIMS strengthens the professions political voice, we will be exploring opportunities to expand the range of benefits offered to members.

Membership payments and donations may be submitted via our safe, secure, and private transaction processor Paypal.com The online form is for payment only. New or annual-renewal members must also submit an AIMS Membership Application via mail or fax.

Dues Waiver

A dues waiver is available to any prospective or current member of AIMS who is experiencing a severe financial hardship. All dues waiver applications must be submitted along with a completed AIMS Membership Application.
